Student Spotlight: Badí Quinteros

Badí is a junior from Cuenca, Ecuador double majoring in bioinformatics and genetics, genomics, and biotechnology. He loves meeting new people and doing research within his major. He plans to go into genetic counseling or a PhD program when he graduates from BYU.

We asked Badí if he had any advice for new students and he said:
"Join a lab! I joined a lab during my freshman year, and I loved it! It might seem intimidating to join a lab when you are new, but the purpose of joining a lab is to learn from and with other students. Use the resources that BYU provides for you such as pre-professional clubs, therapy, advisement centers, mentorship programs, dietitians, and others."
