Kimberly was working on acquiring molecular data through PCR and sequencing to organize taxa among the order Phasmatodea (stick insects) in our sister lab under Dr. Whiting. She enjoyed working in this lab because she could practice wet lab skills and also develop bioinformatic tools. Kimberly is interested in how complex molecular pathways are shaped by evolution.
