Hannah Breinholt

Rachel Wood Lab Members (Current Undergraduate Students)

Hannah Breinholt is a senior pursuing a degree in Biology. She is a lab manager here in the Wood lab, where she is involved with projects examining the effects of glyphosate treatment on the invasive Phragmites australis in Great Salt Lake and Utah lake wetlands and how species diversity has been affected by disturbance and restoration in the streams of East Maui, Hawaii. Her primary responsibilities include teaching mentored research students and assisting in laboratory experiments and field work. Her research interests include ecology and ecosystem disturbance, focusing on species invasion and interactions between organisms and how their environment shapes them over time. She plans to pursue a PhD in Ecology after completing her undergraduate studies. Outside the lab, Hannah enjoys a variety of hobbies, such as hiking, running, reading, and rock climbing, while also spending quality time with family and friends.
