Biography

I come from Glendale, AZ, which up until recently, with the building of the Glendale Arena, new home of the Arizona Cardinals, was known for absolutely nothing. I study English and am preparing to one day enter the medical field, hopefully from a research science angle. I lived in Europe for two years, mostly in Belgium and The Netherlands. I started and run a program on campus called Conexiones, which encourages family literacy in the homes of Hispanic families in the greater Provo area by having volunteers go to their homes on a regular basis and encourage positive experiences with family reading.

Lab Research

My focus area in the lab is evolutionary microbiology and phylogentics in relation to the Antarctic Project, especially dealing with Eudorylaimus nematodes. I also assist in the morphological taxonomy of nematodes.
