Why are you interested in ecology and conservation science?
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area so instead if going to the beach to be warm and get a tan, I went to see elephant seals and anemones. I was able to walk along giants in the redwood national forest and get 10 years of good luck by kissing a banana slug. The environment has been important to me since my childhood.
