Visiting Researchers
Lina Moses
Lina currently is a Louisiana Board of Regents Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Tropical Medicine at Tulane University and defended her dissertation in 2010. Lina’s dissertation research involves examining dispersal patterns in Mastomys natalensis (multimamate rat) and transmission of the Lassa fever virus in Sierra Leone, West Africa. This is because understanding how individuals disperse at a local scale has implications for disease control. Lina has been working in our lab developing and characterizing microsatellite markers for Mastomys collected from villages in eastern Sierra Leone.
