Change to Phylogeny of Pleasing Fungus Beetles (Coleoptera: Erotylidae)
While there is an extensive morphological matrix for adult and larval erotylid beetles, additional questions in erotylid phylogeny remain perplexing. In particular, we are interested in deciphering the pattern of evolution of aposematic coloration across the taxa, and the evolution of their fungal host association. Molecular data are being generated for a wide range of erotylid taxa, and a comparable data set from adult and larval morphology is being compiled.
