American Fork Canyon is an ideal "natural laboratory" for our students. We maintain sampling sites along the main branch of the river. We have a number of Rapid Bioassessment samples from various sites along the river for a number of years. We frequently also sample these areas with Malaise traps and Lindren funnels. We often take Biology 100 (non-majors) and lab members to the Canyon to demonstrate aquatic sampling.
