Microbiologist Entry Level-SupraNaturals, LCC Springville, UT

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a broad range of microbiological tests and procedures in the laboratory to verify the quality of the product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interprets findings to assess compliance or noncompliance with company and industry standards
  • Completes company required forms in connection with project assignment
  • Perform microbiological testing on raw materials and finished product
  • Perform environmental testing on production equipment, water and water lines
  • Preparation of media
  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or related field
  • Highly motivated, creative and independent performer with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communications skills.
  • Ability to write a concise report of findings.
  • Must be able to follow all safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Laboratory environment which may include long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong and/or unusual odors, lifting up to 40 lbs, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.

WAGES: This is a full time position. Hourly wage is commensurate with academic standing, qualifications and experience
